Brass Teleidoscope - Open-Lens Optical Instrument

A teleidoscope has no object chamber. A lens at the far end takes in whatever is in front of it - a room, a window, a printed page - and the internal mirror system folds that image into repeating symmetrical geometry. Point it at anything and the pattern changes with the subject.

Built in the Studio Yabaye workshop in Israel from solid brass tube, cut, fitted and hand-finished. The body is weighted and sits on the included brass or wood stand. Works held against a camera or phone lens for in-camera optical effects without software.

Designed and built by Roi (ROCCO) Ramon, licensed architect.
