The Spring 2026 issue of News Scope, the newsletter of the Brewster Kaleidoscope Society (Vol. 41 No. 2), includes a letter from Rocco (Roi) Ramon, architect and founder of Studio Yabaye, to the society's members.

What the letter covers

The letter describes the intersection between architectural structure and the image produced inside a kaleidoscope: why the studio works mainly in brass, how the stand is treated as an architectural element, and how the object chamber is composed. It also introduces the studio's Spring 2026 collection, with photographs of recent instruments and the images they produce.

About the Brewster Kaleidoscope Society

The Brewster Kaleidoscope Society is an association of kaleidoscope designers, collectors and enthusiasts, named after Sir David Brewster, who patented the kaleidoscope in 1817. Its newsletter, News Scope, is published for members and covers artists, exhibitions and the Brewster International Kaleidoscope Expo.

From the Studio Yabaye range: Fine Art Serialized (5 cm body, 11 cm wheel); Giant 28 cm (fluid-filled cell).
